TBA Solo and Ensemble Contest Winners
Thanks to everyone that had students compete in this years TBA Solo and Ensemble Contest. We had 21 entries this year which is fantastic!! Congratulations to the following students :
Soloist Winners:
1st place: Madison Dang. (flute – Valse 3 by Benjamin Godard) – Briarcrest Christian School – Director: Michael Parsons
2nd Place: Justin Bowers (Trumpet Concerto in F minor by Oskar Bohme) – Christian Brothers High School – Director: Patrick Bolton
Ensemble Winner:
Alan Zhoe , Joel Lim, Eshaan Patnaik- WW trio from Memphis University School- “Aubade” by Dewailly- director : Chris Piecuch
These students will represent WTSBOA at the TBA Honors Concert at the TMEA Conference. I will be in contact with those directors as soon as I get information. Thanks again to all that auditioned – we have some really talented students in our part of the state and we will be represented well at the Honors Concert this year.
