Last Call for TBA Young Directors Symposium

All,

I hope you will plan to join us this Friday and/or Saturday for the Tennessee Bandmasters Summer Symposium featuring Alfred Watkins and Rachel Maxwell on Friday and the ASBDA Young Directors Symposium on Saturday.

TBA Important Updates

  • TBA Summer Symposium has now been confirmed to be at Poplar Grove Middle School on June 13th.
  •  A vote for President Elect will be sent out in the next week or so and we will send that reminder out as soon as it is posted.
  • If band directors didn’t pick up all state certificates at the conference, they were mailed last week so be on the look out for those.  Let Jennifer Cupples or JR Baker know if you do not receive yours this week.

TBA Solo and Ensemble Winners

Congratulations to the following students for being selected to represent our region in the TBA Honors Recital at the TNMEA Convention this year:

Solo – 1st place -Misha Medvedchuk – Christian Brothers High School

2nd place – Brandon Criswell – The Shephard’s Horn High School

Ensemble -( Brass Ensemble) Ashton Phillips, Kaylen Burrell, Benjamin Myers,  and Libby Rowland – Collierville High School
