Lane College is pleased to announce its 2023 Homecoming Celebration during the week of October 15-21. The highlight of the week will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023, and feature the Homecoming Parade, the Homecoming Football Game, the new Band, and the Homecoming Court.
The Homecoming Parade traditionally attracts 8,000 to 10,000 spectators and visitors and involves the entire Jackson-Madison County community. Please accept this communication as an invitation for your outstanding auxiliary to participate in the Homecoming Parade at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, October 21.
After the Parade, you and your students may return to Lane College for lunch in the Dining Hall. We have taken steps to assure that tasteful meals have been prepared and that the quantity will be sufficient for your students and you to eat all that you wish. Units and Bands choosing not to attend the game may depart directly after lunch or anytime they choose. Should you choose to attend the football game, band members will be allowed to enter the Stadium at no charge. Participants must be in uniform. The Football Game is set for 2:00 p.m.
In order for us to properly plan for the Parade, we request that you complete the enclosed Band Invitation Response Form. Please return it as soon as possible, but no later than September 8, 2023, to Mr. Braylin Laster, Lane College, 545 Lane Avenue, Jackson, TN 38301.
